PROFILE
About
Todd Wilson advises and represents individual and business clients in a wide array of legal matters, including commercial and estate litigation, criminal defense, and appellate litigation. Mr. Wilson founded the firm in 2009 after moving to Ocean County, bringing the experience and skills he honed as counsel to the law firm of Lowenstein Sandler, an AmLaw firm with over 250 attorneys and offices across the country. While at Lowenstein, Mr. Wilson represented clients in general and complex commercial litigation, securities and structured finance litigation, bankruptcy and asset recovery litigation, civil fraud cases, internal corporate investigations, consumer class action defense, construction litigation, products liability defense, and federal and state criminal defense.

Since founding his own firm, Mr. Wilson has continued to represent clients in complex and high-profile matters. He partnered with other firms and organizations advocating for children with disabilities in a suit to enforce laws governing the education of children with disabilities. After nearly seven years, the State of New Jersey agreed to a settlement ensuring that students with disabilities will be educated alongside their non-disabled peers to the maximum extent appropriate.

Mr. Wilson was also involved in litigation seeking to end the homelessness problem in Ocean County, representing a prominent local minister and homeless advocate who founded Tent City in Lakewood Township in litigation against Lakewood and Ocean County. Mr. Wilson helped secure a settlement where the Township agreed to guarantee the residents of Tent City indoor housing for a year. He was also able to get numerous municipal violations and criminal charges against the minister related to his efforts to help the homeless dismissed in Ocean County Superior Court and the local municipal court.

In addition to representing individuals and businesses in civil and criminal litigation, Mr. Wilson counsels clients on business and regulatory issues, conducts internal investigations, and serves as a hearing officer for civil service disciplinary matters. He has also represented hundreds of children in the Appellate Division in matters involving child protection and parental rights. He was recognized as a New Jersey Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine (No aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the highest court of any state).
